Laura Turner Seydel

Laura Turner Seydel is an international environmental advocate and eco-living expert dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable future for our children. She is the chairperson of the Captain Planet Foundation, which funds project-based environmental stewardship projects worldwide. She co-founded Mothers and Others for Clean Air and the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Laura is also the vice chair of the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and sits on the national boards of the Environmental Working Group, League of Conservation Voters, Defenders of Wildlife and Waterkeeper Alliance. She is a member of the Carter Center Board of Councilors and Rotary Club of Downtown Atlanta. Laura lives with her husband and their three children in a LEED Gold home, the first in the southeastern US.
